Pharmacy License Renewal

There are four simple steps to renew your pharmacy license online:

  • You will need to register with the new system, even if you are a current licensee. This is a new system and no previous user IDs/passwords exist. Registration will set up a user ID and a password will be e-mailed to you.
  • After you register with the new system and log in the first time, you will be asked a question "Do you now or have you ever held a license / registration issued by this agency?" Answer Yes.   • Pay renewal fees with MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express.
  • After you submit your application, a copy of your application and online payment receipt will be e-mailed to you.

Examples in which a pharmacy may be ineligible to renew online:

• Agency records indicate that your current license does not expire within 60 days from today.

• Pharmacy license number, telephone number and/or zip code are incorrect. Email phcyrenewals@tsbp.state.tx.us if you receive an error message regarding login information.

• Change of Name, Location and/or Ownership/Managing Officers. Additional information is required. Email phcyrenewals@tsbp.state.tx.us for additional information.

• Provider of remote pharmacies. Additional information is required.

During the online process you will be asked questions about the pharmacy’s employment relationships. Please update your employment records! In order to record any employees that are pharmacists and/or pharmacy technicians that are licensed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, you will need to provide their license and/or registration numbers. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!

Online renewal can take up to four business days to process!

Please KEEP your online payment receipt that will be e-mailed to you as confirmation of your paid renewal. Obtaining a transaction number does not constitute completion and payment of your renewal. An unsuccessful attempt to renew your license online does not satisfy the statutory requirement of filing the renewal application and paying the fee prior to the license expiration.
