Charles Wetherbee
Boerne, Texas Term Expires: August 31, 2015 Charles F. Wetherbee was born in Amarillo, Texas, where he was active in scouting, serving on the staff of the local Boy Scout Camp, and attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. After graduation from Amarillo High School in 1962, he attended Texas A&M University, where he lettered on the rifle team and was a Battalion Executive Officer in the Corps of Cadets. He graduated with a degree in History in 1966 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps. He then attended the University of Texas School of Law, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1969, before serving on active duty with the United States Army in Detroit, Michigan, and the Republic of Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star and reassigned to the Army Reserve where he served until he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Mr. Wetherbee has been in private law practice since 1971, in Austin, Jourdanton, and now Boerne. He was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, and served as City Attorney of Jourdanton from 1978 to 2002. |
