Alice G. Mendoza of Kingsville is currently the director of pharmacy at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Kleberg.  As the director of pharmacy, she serves on the hospital’s Mission Committee and Ethics Committee.

Ms. Mendoza is a 1981 graduate from Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.  She also received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Houston in 1976.  

Her professional memberships include the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the Texas Pharmacy Association, and the Coastal Bend Pharmaceutical Association.  Ms. Mendoza is a board member for HALO-Flight, a nonprofit air ambulance service; and Vice-Chair of the Coastal Bend College Advisory Board for Pharmacy Technicians Program.   Ms. Mendoza has been active in many other organizations such as American Cancer Society Relay for Life, La Posada Spohn Kleberg Children’s Day, and 4-H Club. 

Ms. Mendoza is married to her childhood sweetheart, Jose A. Mendoza, R.Ph.  They have two children, Jose A. Mendoza, II, and Javier A. Mendoza, both students at Texas A & M, Kingsville.  Together, the family enjoys ranching and raising Beefmaster cattle.
