           Temporary Licensing for Hurricane Relief

Information on Temporary Remote Pharmacies
Any pharmacy establishing a remote location to provide prescription dispensing services on an emergency basis should register the remote location with TSBP. Click here to begin this process. You may submit this form via email to license@tsbp.state.tx.us, fax to (512) 305-8075, or by mail to the Board’s address.

The remote registration will be valid for 4 months, and extensions will not be automatic. You must apply for an extension.

Information on Temporary Pharmacist Licenses
Governor Perry has requested that the Board work with pharmacies and expedite the issuance of temporary licenses for out-of-state licensed pharmacists who are needed by Texas pharmacies to aid in this effort.

If you are a pharmacist with an active license in another state, you may begin working immediately at a sponsoring pharmacy during the time that the Board is processing your application for a temporary pharmacist license. The temporary license will allow you to work at the sponsoring pharmacy for up to 4 months.

Click here for the online application form to obtain a temporary license.

If you anticipate continued employment beyond 4 months in Texas, you should also immediately begin the licensure transfer process. Click here for information on how to begin this process.
